The history of the plant in Tarnowiec

The owner of the company PCPW EKO-KARPATY, Ph.D. Eng. Jan Pąprowicz, a former employee of the Silesian University of Technology, Białystok University of Technology and Rzeszów University of Technology , founded ENVIRO Sp. z o.o. z o. o., whose main goal was to conduct scientific, research and implementation work in the field of environmental protection, with particular emphasis on filtration processes.

After developing new filter technologies for household appliances and implementing them into production, there was a need to launch own production of filter materials and filters. As a result, in 1993, in the purchased facilities of the former SKR in Tarnowiec, a plant producing modern filter materials was launched under the name Podkarpackie Centrum Produkcyjno-Wdrożeniowe EKO-KARPATY. The plant soon developed rapidly thanks to the launch of more modern filtration systems, both for ordinary mechanical filtration, through electrostatic, antibacterial, anti-odor.

As a result of continuous scientific and research work

implementation of targeted and EU projects aimed at the development of the company, the use of manufactured materials for both civil and special purposes has been dynamically expanded. The next stage of development was the purchase of the Technical Textile Products Plant TECHNITEX in Głogów Małopolski and its inclusion in the EKO-KARPATY structure. Expanding the machinery with modern technological lines allowed us to increase production capabilities, create many new materials for various applications and increase the possibility of implementing further research projects.

In this way, a huge research and implementation potential was created, thanks to which EKO-KARPATY has become an attractive partner for many civilian and military institutes and universities in the joint implementation of research, targeted and EU projects.The company systematically develops various technologies, adapting them to market needs and expanding the range of our products.Various universities and research institutes participate in the implementation of these works, for example: Lodz University of Technology, Military Institute of Chemistry and Radiometry in Warsaw, Central Mining Institute in Katowice, University of Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biała, Bielsko Textile Institute, Agricultural University in Poznań, Central Footwear Laboratory in Krakow, Institute of Leather Industry in Lodz, Branch in Krakow, Tomas Bata Institute in Zlin, Karlovy Institute in Prague, etc.

Independently, without the participation of scientific and research institutes, establishing research teams within the company that operated under the rights of an institute. In these projects, EKO-KARPATY was both the applicant and the contractor of research and implementation.

Today, EKO-KARPATY is an important manufacturer and cooperative supplier in Poland and abroad. We systematically modernize production processes and expand the range of products. The company’s constant development allows us to keep up with market needs and flexibly respond to customer needs. We are dynamic in our actions, open to new ideas and flexible in cooperation.
